Hey guys! I am back for another beauty post. Today’s topic is skincare. With the transitioning weather from summer to fall, it is necessary to take note of the temperature changes when picking new products for your skin. If you haven’t read my latest skincare routine, click the link to read before reading this one! Let’s get started:
Oatifix Fresh Face Mask | I start off my routine with this fresh face mask from Lush every morning. It contains bananas, oats, almonds, illipe butter, sandalwood oil, and glycerin to lock moisture into your skin. Hands down, this is the best face scrub I’ve ever used for under $10. It leaves my skin soft and dewy which I like, considering I have extremely dry skin. If you’re looking for a face m/’ask that smells good and is inexpensive, this is your guy. One con I’d say would be that it is recommended by Lush that you keep their fresh face masks in the refrigerator because it is all natural and vegan, although I don’t do that (and it still works perfectly). I don’t put it in the refrigerator simply because when you’re ready to use it, it’s all cold and hard which I am not in favor of. Overall, it is a great product to have!
After washing my face, I use my Blooming Iris Aloe Vera Toner. Blooming Iris is a skincare line created by my dear friend and entrepreneur, Akabalon. She uses pure aloe vera straight from the plant! Imagine washing your face and it feeling like butter, then on top of that, adding another layer of moisture on top of that with this toner. I spray this on my face about three times, rub it all in, and let it set on my face. After 3-5 minutes, my skin is radiant and glowing! Fun fact: Aloe vera contains two hormones that provide wound healing and anti-inflammatory properties that reduce skin inflammation. If you have these problems, anything with aloe vera will be the right product for you.
Cortizone 10 | Once the toner has set, I go in with my favorite product of all time, Cortizone 10. As I’ve stated in my latest skincare routine, I tend to have redness and itchiness on my face. I also use this when I get small bumps on my face. It is very helpful for people with eczema, rashes, scars, and acne. You use a dime size amount and you’ll be fine. When I skip this step or run out for a few days, I notice my small bumps start to resurface or I start scratching my face. So this product is a life saver for me!
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel | I then finish off with my favorite moisturizer of all time. This baby is $20.I t does wonders for the skin and is super soft when applying! Use Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel to instantly quench dry skin and boost’s skin’s hydration level. This oil-free formula quenches dry skin to keep it looking smooth, supple, and hydrated day after day. The unique water gel formula absorbs quickly like a gel, but has the long-lasting, intense moisturizing power of a cream. This gel moisturizer is formulated with hyaluronic acid, which is naturally found in the skin. Hyaluronic acid acts as a sponge for dry skin cells, moisturizing skin with up to 1,000 times its weight in water. The non-comedogenic gel moisturizer can be worn under makeup and leaves your skin more supple and smooth.
As you can tell, my skin routine has shortened for the fall season. My focus is all on moisture, and all of my products have a significant amount inside which makes my skin happy and hydrated!
