My Snapchat Takeover with @MakeupforWOC!

The DM that started it all.

A few days ago, I was granted the opportunity to do a snapchat takeover for @MakeupForWOC. This was my first ever snapchat takeover! I was very nervous and excited, all at once. I didn’t know what look I was going to do. I wanted to do something smokey, but not too much. Something time efficient and radiant.

I went with an olive green smokey eye with nice grungy red lip color. Although I couldn’t find the name of the actual palette that I used for the green shimmer, here’s a list of the rest of products I used to achieve this look:

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow | This is a very well known product in the beauty community. I used this for my brows in dark brown. You only need a little of this for your brows and it lasts sooo long. You can get this at Sephora and Ulta Beauty as well for $18.

LA Girl Pro Conceal | I used the color fawn. This is also a very well known product in the beauty community. I used this to carve out my brows and set my eyelids for eyeshadow! The price of this product varies, but its mostly around $4-$5 and you can get it roughly anywhere! (Walgreens, Ulta Beauty, Target, etc.)

Ben Nye Luxury Powder | Now I know I used this product way too much, but its just THAT good. If you are a women of color, you need to use a setting powder with a tint. Ben Nye has a variety of shades! I bought mine from Amazon but Im sure you can find it at other retailers.Screen Shot 2018-05-23 at 4.30.08 PM

Bobbi Brown Long-wear EvenFinish SPF 15 Foundation | PERFECT for the summer — this foundation has sunscreen! I used this in my shade golden almond (not shown here) and it smears and blends into the skin so perfectly. You can get this at Sephora or Ulta Beauty for around $38.

Laura Mercier Face Illuminator | I love love love this stuff. The shimmer is amazing and you don’t need to put on much to shine. Costing around $44, you can find this highlighter at Sephora. Spring Makeup Must-Haves!

My go-to spring lok

Hey babes! It’s been SUCH a long time since I’ve last made a post! I’ve been so busy with school but now I have officially finished my junior year in college and am now a senior! Now that classes are over, I’ll be able to blog and post more frequently. Recently I made a beauty post of my favorite summer look on my instagram, check it out to see the details on this look! (click here)

So what are my spring makeup must-haves? First off, you have to have an SPF moisturizer/serum! I know this isn’t a makeup item, but it is essential to keeping your face hydrated! My favorite moisturizer and serum right now are NYX’s Honey Dew Me Up Primer, Pond’s Dry Skin Moisturizer, and Farsali’s Rose Gold Elixir.

Screen Shot 2018-05-07 at 11.08.09 AMAnother product I cannot live without is setting powder. It’s hot out, and you don’t want your makeup to crease! What setting powder does is soak up any excess moisture from your makeup that would cause it to move or crease. Say if you have smile lines like me, you know that setting powder is essential for everyday makeup use, even in the spring time! Since I’m a women of color, I tend to stay away from setting powders that don’t have any tint to it. My favorite one to use is the Ben Nye Setting Powder in the color “topaz”. Even though it is not one of the finest grains of powders, it works perfectly for me because it sets my makeup perfectly. Remember, it’s all about technique! You can use a harsh setting powder, but if you apply it correctly, it can work in your favor.

Screen Shot 2018-05-07 at 11.16.11 AMMy next product is everyone’s favorite product: highlighter! We all know the perks of using highlighter, but just getting that extra glow in the spring is worth while. If your’e a beauty guru like me and love to take good quality pictures, add some highlighter to your makeup to make your photos stand out more. People have this thought that they can only use highlighter on their cheekbones… WRONG. I use highlighter on my brow bone, collar bone, by my temples, and on my nose. Sometimes on my body for that extra glow! My fave highlighter right now is Fenty Beauty’s Killawat Freestyle Highlighter in “ginger binge/moscow mule”. I like this product because its very light and feathery, meaning it glides easy onto your face. Also the colors work well with darker skin tones.

My very last product that is in my essential package for the spring? Lipgloss! Tones and tones of lipgloss. All types of lipgloss: shimmery, glossy, and tinted! I’m starting love glossy lips more than matte, and there’s a reason why. Glossy lips are so much easier and convenient to apply. My favorite glosses right now are Maybelline Shine Shot lip Topcoat, NYX Butter Gloss in “Tiramisu”, and Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in “Sandstorm”. I tried to give you guys 3 options: clear, tinted, and shimmery.  These glosses are affordable and non-sticky. They work well with any skin-tone and are amazing products overall.

Alright guys, that’s it for my Spring Must-Have’s. If you have any products you think are essential for the spring, comment them below! I want to check them out. I hope you guys have a wonderful spring and also an amazing summer break! Make sure to check out my latest Youtube video! I’m working on producing more content on there, so stay tuned! Guest Post February | Beauty Influencing 101

Author, Alexa

Being a micro-influencer is not an easy task but it is something that I absolutely love doing. I’ve always loved being in front of the camera and I knew I was made for this. I started my YouTube channel at the end of 2016 and I was not well equipped; all I had was my iPhone 6 and I went for it. I was a little scared because I knew that putting myself out there could be an issue specially with society and I wasn’t ready to be judged to be honest, but so far so good! I recently reached one of my goals of reaching 1K subscribers last month in January and my channel has been slowly growing which I’m very happy about.

The way I manage YouTube is by writing down my video ideas for the week and by keeping up with social media trends. I like to do that because it helps me stay focused and productive, and it also helps me stay on track of everything; I realized doing that has helped my channel grow little by little and I have been getting recognized by different bloggers.

IMG_1833When it comes to promoting myself and my work, Instagram and Twitter are my best friends, I use them all the time and the hashtags are very helpful to put your platform out there, so I make sure I use them. in addition, the tags on YouTube are very helpful as well and it helps you get more views and brings more traffic to your channel. It takes a lot of CONSISTENCY AND DETERMINATION to do all of these things, but nothing is impossible. its all about learning how to be proactive and make things work for you.

In the next 3 years, I see myself doing YouTube full time. Right now, I am working on better quality, getting better equipment and being more consistent with uploading more videos. I also see myself working with brands and different organizations to promote my culture (Garifunas) and the afro Latinos in general. I hope and pray that everything works out for me.

Updated Skin Care Routine ft. Blooming Iris | Fall Edition

Hey guys! I am back for another beauty post. Today’s topic is skincare. With the transitioning weather from summer to fall, it is necessary to take note of the temperature changes when picking new products for your skin. If you haven’t read my latest skincare routine, click the link to read before reading this one! Let’s get started:

06097Oatifix Fresh Face Mask | I start off my routine with this fresh face mask from Lush every morning. It contains bananas, oats, almonds, illipe butter, sandalwood oil, and glycerin to lock moisture into your skin. Hands down, this is the best face scrub I’ve ever used for under $10. It leaves my skin soft and dewy which I like, considering I have extremely dry skin. If you’re looking for a face m/’ask that smells good and is inexpensive, this is your guy. One con I’d say would be that it is recommended by Lush that you keep their fresh face masks in the refrigerator because it is all natural and vegan, although I don’t do that (and it still works perfectly). I don’t put it in the refrigerator simply because when you’re ready to use it, it’s all cold and hard which I am not in favor of. Overall, it is a great product to have!

alovera-tonerAfter washing my face, I use my Blooming Iris Aloe Vera Toner. Blooming Iris is a skincare line created by my dear friend and entrepreneur, Akabalon. She uses pure aloe vera straight from the plant! Imagine washing your face and it feeling like butter, then on top of that, adding another layer of moisture on top of that with this toner. I spray this on my face about three times, rub it all in, and let it set on my face. After 3-5 minutes, my skin is radiant and glowing! Fun fact: Aloe vera contains two hormones that provide wound healing and anti-inflammatory properties that reduce skin inflammation. If you have these problems, anything with aloe vera will be the right product for you.

img_5321Cortizone 10 | Once the toner has set, I go in with my favorite product of all time, Cortizone 10. As I’ve stated in my latest skincare routine,  I tend to have redness and itchiness on my face. I also use this when I get small bumps on my face. It is very helpful for people with eczema, rashes, scars, and acne. You use a dime size amount and you’ll be fine. When I skip this step or run out for a few days, I notice my small bumps start to resurface or I start scratching my face. So this product is a life saver for me!

img_1644Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel | I then finish off with my favorite moisturizer of all time. This baby is $20.I t does wonders for the skin and is super soft when applying! Use Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel to instantly quench dry skin and boost’s skin’s hydration level. This oil-free formula quenches dry skin to keep it looking smooth, supple, and hydrated day after day. The unique water gel formula absorbs quickly like a gel, but has the long-lasting, intense moisturizing power of a cream. This gel moisturizer is formulated with hyaluronic acid, which is naturally found in the skin. Hyaluronic acid acts as a sponge for dry skin cells, moisturizing skin with up to 1,000 times its weight in water. The non-comedogenic gel moisturizer can be worn under makeup and leaves your skin more supple and smooth.

As you can tell, my skin routine has shortened for the fall season. My focus is all on moisture, and all of my products have a significant amount inside which makes my skin happy and hydrated!

Best Drugstore Skincare For Dry + Sensitive Skin

Hey loves, happy Tuesday! I’m here to talk to you today about the best drugstore skincare products out there for [extremely] dry and sensitive skin. Now I know skincare products can be expensive. You don’t have to do have an expensive skincare regimen to achieve clear and hydrated skin! If you read my latest blog post on my skincare routine, you’ll notice I listed some other good products that are also from drugstores that work well, like toners. Feel free to read!

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Boosters Daily Cleanser

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Boosters Facial Cleanser | Neutrogena Healthy Skin Boosters Facial Cleanser boosts the three signs of healthy-looking skin: softness, evenness, and radiance. This oil-free formula is infused with antioxidant white tea and moisturizing vitamin E. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Boosters Facial Cleanser is dermatologist tested and won’t over-dry skin. I like this one because its super soft on the skin and keeps my skin hydrated after I wash it! Also for $8.

img_1640Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Face Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub, Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment |For $8, this face wash helps treat breakouts while gently exfoliating your skin. It is best used for acne-prone skin. This foaming scrub clears blemishes, even blackheads, and helps prevent new breakouts from forming. With Micro-Clear technology and clinically proven acne medicine, this face wash works to cut through pore-clogging oil, allowing medicine to penetrate to the source of breakouts, unclogging congested pores and removing dirt and impurities. It’s gentle exfoliators help smooth away roughness, revealing clearer, healthier-looking skin without over-drying. ***This scrub is formulated with naturally derived grapefruit extract and Vitamin C.

img_1645Noxzema Ultimate Clear Daily Deep Pore Cleanser | This product is GOLD! The Daily Deep Pore Cleanser has a rich, creamy formula to clean deep down and help eliminate pore clogging impurities such as dirt and oil, helping to reduce shine. It’s tingly sensation lets you know it’s working, haha. This will run you about $4! Not bad at all if you ask me. I use this one every other day because of how strong it works. Nonetheless, it reduces the size of blemishes and does a great job at removing dirt from your face.

Formula 10.0.6 Pores Be Pure Mud Mask | This baby will run you about $7, but it’s the best! It draws out impurities from clogged pores with Formula 10.0.6 Pores Be Pure Skin-Clarifying Mud Mask with Strawberry and Yarrow! This skin-refining mud mask with berry boosters goes straight to work on clogged pores. Strawberry and Rosemary eliminate impurities, while yarrow clarifies skin for instant complexion perfection! Formula 10.0.6 Pores Be Pure is perfect for a relaxing night in, or for deep cleanse to refine your skin! I’ll use this at night before bed, after I take my make makeup off (if any), and then apply moisturizer.

Dead Sea Minerals Anti-Stress Clay Facial Mask | These babies are $4 each and great for sensitive skin! Creamy clay gets into pores to remove dirt and oils while dead sea minerals and sea salts help replenish hydration and plankton and algae extracts reveal radiant skin. Also, the dead sea minerals and sea salts help with the removal of blemishes. I don’t use this product that much considering my skin is EXTREMELY dry. I use it when my skin feels excessively dirty — like if I’m too tired to take my makeup off or forget the night before, I’ll use this in the morning to make sure I remove all makeup, dirt, oils, etc.

Charcoal And Black Sugar Dual Action Scrub Facial Mask | Also for $4, This dual-action charcoal and black sugar mask works in two ways to ready your face for the world. Activated charcoal works naturally to purify skin, absorbing oils without over drying while black sugar works as a scrub to gently exfoliate dull skin cells, revealing ultra-soft and smooth skin. This unique mask and scrub combo kicks impurities to the curb so you cart put your freshest face forward.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel | ***BEST SELLER*** and the most expensive thing on this list, $20, this product does wonders for the skin and is super soft when applying!

Get your hands on these products. I promise you won’t regret it! Remember to drink water, eat healthy, and exfoliate!

Daily Skin Care Routine/Makeup Prep

If you’re like me, a person with dry/sensitive skin, your skin care routine has to include great moisture products. A lot of people don’t realize but you don’t need high-end skin care products for your skin to flourish. ✨  Here’s my up-to-date skin care routine that I also use before my makeup.

St. Ives Oatmeal and Scrub Mask | This is made with 100% natural exfoliants like walnut shell powder. I’d pick this first before any of other face scrubs, simply because my skin is very sensitive and this face scrub is probably the softest one I’ve used in a while. One thing I hate is when I wash my face and I get redness from scrubbing — this face scrub decreases that reaction. If I choose to use this as a face mask, I’ll leave it on for about 10 minutes and proceed with lukewarm water and pat my face dry with a face towel. Using this as a scrub and mask has great lightening benefits! My face always looks rejuvenated after using this.

St. Ives Green Tea Face Scrub | Insider: green tea helps clear blackheads and calms redness as well. Green tea also has anti-aging and antioxidant benefits that can help delay signs of skin aging, such as sagging skin, sun damage, age spots, fine lines and wrinkles. As my #2, I’ll use this when I get tired of using the oatmeal scrub from St. Ives. To be honest, both are GREAT for dry skin, as to other scrubs and masks that are harsh on the skin. Scrubs that a more harsh on the skin, like the St. Ives Apricot Scrub, are mainly used for people with blemishes — hence why they have a rougher texture. So I tend to stay away from harsh exfoliators because my skin is 1) very dry and 2) extremely sensitive. Scrubs with rougher textures will dehydrate your skin, causing you to lose moisture. Luckily, these two scrubs are super gentle. Peep this, the green tea scrub comes out green! (PS, the St. Ives facial scrubs can range from $3-5 depending on where you buy.)

Step 2. TONER

Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner | This toner includes 5% Glyolic Acid, Aloe Vera, and Ginseng. It gently exfoliates to remove dead skin cells, revealing healthy glowing skin. I use this right after I wash my face to relieve dehydration. This toner is very gentle on the skin and balances it back out after washing it. I’ve used this for about a year now, and my skin has gotten significantly softer! Aloe Vera is a good source of moisture — one reason why I love this toner so much. The pricing is a bit much, but totally worth it. I bought this from target for $15, so it might be pricier somewhere else.

S.W. Basics Toner | This toner has only 5 ingredients: water, organic raw apple cider vinegar, witch hazel, organic clary sage and sandalwood oils. You have to shake the bottle a few times every now and then because of the unfiltered apple cider vinegar, which is totally normal. I’ve only used this for a week but I can say it does wonders. My skin showed a significant jump in brightness, just after the first use!  I bought this at target for $9.99 because it was on sale (great deal), but the original price is $22. I didn’t mention this earlier but a toner helps restore your skin’s pH balance, shrinks pores, and refreshes your skin. It also adds an extra layer of protection from harsh chemicals, such as minerals and chlorines that are in tap water. This step is optional but definitely worth a try in your skin regimen.

Cortizone 10 | Now this is totally optional, but I use this because I tend to have redness and itchiness on my face. I also use it when I get small bumps on my face. It is very helpful for people with eczema, rashes, scars, and acne. You use a dime size amount and you’ll be fine. When I skip this step or run out for a few days, I notice my small bumps start to resurface or I start scratching my face. So this product is a life saver for me!

SheaMoisture Peace Rose Oil Complex Sensitive Skin Facial Moisturize | The absolute best facial moisturizer I’ve used by far! Here’s some fun facts: (1) The Peace Rose Oil Complex is a blend of Alpine, Damask and Musk Rose Oils that softens and comforts skin. (2) The Date Palm Extract is rich in vitamins and antioxidants, which helps smooth and protect skin. (3) Camellia Leaf Extract contains anti-inflammatory properties that helps calm and soothe skin. I use a dime size of this and my skin is glowing and ready to go! When I say my skin goes from being completely dry and itchy to glowing and hydrated. This product helps my skin look so fresh and I love it. I bought this at Target (as you can see I LOVE Target, lol) for $12 and it was totally worth my money!

For makeup prep, I do all 3 steps listed above and follow with my primer of choice. Primer is a base for foundation or face makeup that allows it to go on smoother and last longer. Formulas are available in cream, gel and powder. While moisturizer softens skin, primer prepares skin for your favorite moisturizer or foundation, giving it something to hold onto so it lasts throughout the day.

img_5327NYX Honey Dew Me Up Skin Serum & Primer | This product racks up at around $13 at Target and $17 at Ulta Beauty. I love this because it comes in a gel form with honey gold flakes in it, which moisturizes my skin and leaves a subtle glow. How to use? Apply to clean moisturized face. Wait 2-5 minutes for product to set completely before applying makeup. Remember, if you have dry skin, you won’t want to go with any products that are powder based (including your foundation) because it’ll make your skin appear dry or ashy. As some primers will irritate the skin or even leave a stingy sensation, this one doesn’t! It blends well and is easy to apply. Plus, the bottle is so cute and the gold flakes makes it look aesthetically pleasing. 😩😭  After 5 minutes I’ll put on my makeup as usual.

Alright. There you have it, my daily skin care routine/makeup prep. It’s important to have a skin care routine to maintain healthy skin! Especially if you wear a ton of makeup like me, you need to be able to take care of your skin under that beat face! Makeup makes you look pretty, yes, but the chemicals can destroy your skin as well. Whether you have combination/dry/oily skin and love to keep a beat face (or don’t), try out some good skin care products and build yourself a regimen so you can stay glowing and rejuvenated when you choose to wear no makeup at all. A good skin care regimen doesn’t need a bunch of products for your skin to be healthy. Leave some good skin care products to try down below in the comment section to try. Maybe I’ll have an updated skin routine by the fall. 🌻  thanks for reading!

What’s In My Makeup Bag

What’s in my Makeup Bag? When I’m taking a trip home from college, sleeping over at a friend’s, or wherever the destination may be, these are my essentials for travel.

L’Oreal Paris True Match, $7 | Out of my top 3 fave drug store foundations, this one would be ranked #2 in the shade Nut Brown. This foundation provides a medium coverage, while also giving a radiant glow. I rank this #2 because it’s one of the foundations out of my collection that is just more liquidity than the others which I am not that fond of. Nonetheless I love this foundation because not only does it give my skin a radiant glow, it stays on through out the day.

L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Mist & Fix Spray, $14 | THIS IS THE REAL DEAL. Definitely a 10/10 setting spray. I usually use NYX’s setting spray but I decided to up my game a bit and try something new and I’ve been in love ever since. This setting spray will literally keep your makeup on all day.

SheaMoisture Face Primer, $16 | This product I also love. This primer is liquid based and goes on the skin very smoothly. Those who aren’t aware of what primer is used for, it is used to prep and prime the skin before you apply your makeup. The key ingredients in this primer are Shea Butter and antioxidant-rich Vitamin E! This primer can be worn alone, considering it also restores moisture which I love because I have dry skin.

L.A. Girl HD Pro Concealer, $5 | A very popular product. I own this product in three colors — fawn, medium beige, and cocoa. I use cocoa on my dark marks before I apply my foundation, fawn for my highlight, and fawn + medium beige for cleaning up my brows and prepping my eyelids for eyeshadow along with my primer.

NYX Cosmetics Hot Singles Eyeshadow, $5 | I get this in the shade ‘Bonfire’ and I love this shade because it blends right in with my foundation, giving me a natural look. NYX also has other shades which are very pigmented and I highly recommend them if you’re looking for pigmented eyeshadow for a low price.

Wet n’ Wild Megaliner Liquid Eyeliner, $4 | I prefer liquid eyeliner over any other form because it is easy for me to put on. I usually put this over my eyeshadow if my face is pretty dull for a special occasion. If you’re looking for an eyeliner that doesn’t crease or smears, this is the one for you.

Maybelline Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara, $6 | Definitely one of my top 5 drug store mascaras. This mascara doesn’t leave chunks on my eyelashes like some others do when I tend to put an excessive amount on. Fortunately with this, you don’t need to put an excessive amount on to make your eyelashes look fuller, thick, and dark. This gets the job done!

Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip, $6 | In the shade ‘Avenue’, this  dark brick red shade goes well with my a plain face with settle eyeliner — at least that’s how I like to wear it. I love Colourpop’s matte lipsticks because you can put on one layer and it’ll stay on all night or day.

Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip, $6 | In the shade ‘Limbo’, this is the perfect brown lip! It goes well with a natural bronze look which is what I like to go for. I’ll wear this with a lot of highlighter and just mascara.

Colourpop Ultra Glossy Lip, $6 | This lip gloss in the shade ‘Finder’s Keepers’ is perfect for the most natural look, especially for WOC. Definitely the go-to shade for a natural face if you’re looking for a subtle hint of color.

Colourpop Super Shock Highlight, $8 | In the shade ‘Avalon’, this highlighter is a true copper color. I like it because I don’t do much contouring, so this darker highlighter gives my face a radiant glow close to my natural skin color. Almost like a bronzer.

Colourpop Brow Colour,  $6 | When I say this works just as good as ABH Brow Pomade… I get this in the shade ‘Black N’ Brown’ to fill in and outline my brows. After that, I use some clear eyebrow gel to set it and voilá!

Along with all of these goodies, I keep a face brush, beauty blender, small blending sponge, makeup remover wipes, eyeshadow brush, and eyebrow grooming brush in my bag which are all essentials when applying makeup. I try not to carry too much when traveling. I just pick my go-to items that I know will look amazing on me. Have you tried any of these products or recommend any good items to try? Beauty Spotlight: Cari Naturals

Today’s beauty spotlight goes to this black business! Cari Naturals is a line hair and body products that are all natural and cruelty free with a Caribbean twist. I got the chance to collab with the wonderful creator, Kathyana Philippe. She aims to use her products to aid to people of all skin tones and hair textures. She wants to encourage others to love their skin and embrace their beauty. She also strives to use Cari Naturals to promote peace, love, and unity – not just here in the United States but all throughout the world!

Made with 100% all natural and organic Argon Oil, Almond Oil, Coconut Oil, and a mixture of essential oils, this product is amazing! It is sale now for $9.50 (originally $10.50). This serum is very lightweight and has a tropical scent to it. I’m not a big fan of body serums but this one is definitely a bang for your buck! This product can be compared to various glow serums from high end brands like Bare Minerals & NARS, although it’s biggest competitor (in my opinion) is Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizer.

I’ve been using Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizer for 2 years now and I can honestly say that all this product has provided me with is moisture, no glow. With Cari Naturals Caribbean Goddess Glow Serum, you get both! Take a look at this..

Here’s my arm without the glow serum on it and after, both with flash. *inserts heart eyes emoji*!!!!!!! Im telling you, definitely a bang for your buck. This product works best when applied directly after showering. Although I have not tried this yet, Kathyana says that this product can be mixed in with liquid foundation for added shimmer! PLEASE NOTE: SHAKE WELL BEFORE APPLYING! Contents may settle if not used occasionally, which is normal. Also, applying can result in the staining of lightly colored clothes. Due to the richness in pigment of this glow serum, be mindful that a little will go a long way!

If you’re not into glow serums, Cari Naturals also has a lot of other products like these body butters!

Stranilla Souffle, Glow Butter, Sage n Tings, & Original by Cari Naturals.

Unlike the serum, these body butters come in a thicker form (kind of like coconut oil).

Stranilla Souflee

This product is made with 100% unrefined shea butter and a blend of coconut, jojoba, vitamin E oil, and other essential oils. With this product, you can start your day smelling like a fresh basket of freshly picked, juicy strawberries topped off with sweet and fluffy whipped cream! This product is best for people with sensitive and dry skin like me, and eczema, scars, and/or sores.

Glow Butter

This product is not just for the summertime but all year round. With it’s rich bronze pigment, this body butter not only gives you the most genuine Caribbean sun-kissed glow, but keeps you moisturized ALL DAY! This product gave my skin an instant and very noticeable glow, so I give this product a 10 out of 10! (MY FAVORITE because it is very similar to the serum.)

Sage n Tings

What do you get when you mix a little bit of all natural, pure sage oil with the sweet smell of ginger? You get Sage n’ Tings! With the same awesome benefits as the Cari Whipped Body Butter in Original, not only will you be moisturized all throughout the day but you’ll smell irresistibly amazing as well!

Original “Holy Grail”

The absolute HOLY GRAIL of ALL body butters ever created. With the scent of rich shea and calming lavender, this butter is perfect for men, women, and children. It’s rich and fluffy texture is guaranteed to keep you moisturized! If you’re into products without fruity scents, this is definitely a go to.

Pink Paradise Lippie!

Here’s that new new! N.O.R.E by Norrell Cosmetics! 😍

I’m wearing the shade “Pink Paradise” in the collage above.

Pros: it had me at hello! The color is super cute and it’s highly pigmented! Also goes great with my skine tone. Would suggest this to any women of color. Matte formulas usually last longer than glossy formulas due to the fact that they’re drier. But this new lippie stayed completely creamy. I only used one coat to apply and that one coat was enough! I even ate with it on all day and only had to reapply once.

Cons: it stained my lips a bit once I took it off.

Rate: on a scale from 1 (worst. lipstick. ever.) to 10 ( I’d say an easy 9/10!

I’ve gotten the chance to speak to and collaborate with the CEO of this brand! She says, “N.O.R.E By Norrell is a cosmetic brand that I founded in September this year! I have launched a line of Matte Liquid Lipsticks and my goal is to expand into a full line of cosmetics. N.O.R.E represents diversity and beauty; I make products to fit all skin tones! I want to inspire women of all ages to follow their dreams and goals and to say that it is possible! I started with $500.00 and a dream. I want women to feel not like they need my products but to feel confident wearing them. N.O.R.E is ALL ABOUT BEAUTY!
